SWISSARTEXPO · 30 October 2026
Why SWISSARTEXPO?
Art belongs where people are. SWISSARTEXPO brings works by artists from all over the world right into Zurich Main Station: curated, free of charge and open to everyone.

Art in the midst of life
Many people never set foot in a gallery. Not because they are not interested in art, but because getting there is simply not part of their everyday routine. SWISSARTEXPO turns this around: it comes to where people are already on the move. Anyone commuting to work, waiting for a train or picking up friends encounters art quite naturally.
A place with history
The exhibition takes place in the Wannerhalle at Zurich Main Station. The hall is a major architectural and cultural landmark of the city, combining historic architecture with modern use. The works are displayed directly beneath the sculpture “L'ange protecteur” by Niki de Saint Phalle. Around 80,000 people pass through the hall every day. Over the entire exhibition period, this adds up to more than 400,000 encounters with art.
Curated, not random
SWISSARTEXPO is a curated exhibition. All artists go through an application process, and our creative committee decides who is admitted. The result is a selection that is diverse while holding itself to a clear standard: painting, photography, sculpture and much more, by artists from Switzerland and around the world.
For visitors
Admission is free, and everyone is warmly welcome. Original artworks meet the latest digital technology, and events and attractions accompany the exhibition. If a work catches your eye, our trained sales team will be happy to tell you more about the artist, their inspiration, technique and background. The works on display are also available for purchase.
For artists
For artists, SWISSARTEXPO offers a stage that is otherwise hard to come by: hundreds of thousands of eyes at one of the busiest places in Switzerland. 100 percent of the sales proceeds go to the artists. A QR code next to each work leads directly to the artist's website. In addition, with ART OF 100, one hundred works from all over the world come together to form a single collage, which is shown at the exhibition.
